Since today I am a last.fm subscriber. I finally decided to subscribe, primarily for the extended radio functionality. However, in retrospect, I don’t find it as appealing as I thought it would have been. The best part is the Loved tracks station but when I am at home I wouldn’t listen to it (I have better sounding local files) and when I am at work I’d like to listen to something new. Personal tag radio is good but not all that much cooler than regular tag radio.
But, what I really love about being a subscriber is that I can see who has visited my profile. It makes me come back to last.fm a lot more frequently than normal and it also increases my activity on the site (checking out who is checking me out, etc). Wouldn’t it be a smart idea to give everyone the “recently visited” functionality and offer subscribers a significantly improve the radio?
PS: anybody have an idea how I can get the multiple tag functionality there used to be?

I’ve been “mostly blue” for a long time, but there have definitely been a lot of months where I’ve not used my special status hardly at all… I don’t listen to Last.fm radio much, because what I listen to is still mostly not available. The recently visited thing is kinda neat, but I don’t care about it that much. Seems like a lot of the time I’ve paid just to support Last.fm and the fact that I use it all the time.
yeah… I don’t know where the advanced tag editor went, that was pretty useful.
